Dialogue: The Silent Intention
Over the past month, I’ve been working on this small piece titled Dialogue . Unlike some of my other paintings, where narrative often guides the imagery, this one began as a primarily technical exploration: glazes, surfaces, and a new adventure with a fully warm color palette. The fabric-like texture, almost brocade or woven in appearance, became an opportunity to experiment with layers, transparency, and the way light moves across intricate patterns. Each glaze required patience, asking me to slow down and listen as the painting gradually revealed itself. But as often happens, even when the initial intention is technical, an emotional undercurrent begins to surface. Dialogue speaks of a quiet, internal conversation; a moment where words hover on the edge, uncertain whether they’ll be spoken or remain contained. A nearby presence offers emotional support, waiting, observing, providing silent reassurance whether speech arrives or not. My hope is that the atmosphere I’ve created gent...
